I can assure you my biographical information isn't as interesting as my work displayed here, but it is always important to acknowledge one's roots.
I was born and raised in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh literally known for its strip malls ("Miracle Mile" was once the longest strip mall in the US, and Dawn of the Dead was filmed at Monroeville Mall, then one of the largest malls in the nation.). My parents are both Penn State graduates, so I really didn't have much of a choice, did I? I have two younger sisters who I treasure above all else, an Autistic brother, five cats, and a dog. I also have a boyfriend of one year who is a huge inspiration in my life. I am interested, first and foremost, in obtaining a pedagogical career with an emphasis on the Digital Humanities. Some of my more pedestrian goals: ✦ Owning a flat-faced, all-black cat ✦ Having a cabin in the woods ✦ Selling my art full-time ✦ Writing a novel I've got a long way to go, but I am confident that, with the support network I am so fortunate to have, at least most of my dreams will come true. |
